Your safety is always our top priority, so we are working closely with our vendors and venues, as well as a health and safety guidelines to ensure we deliver a safe and fun event in 2021, adhering to all relevant Government COVID regulations. You can read through our COVID safety plans below, which we will continue to keep up to date.

We are confident the event will be able to go ahead this year however if we are forced to postpone the event, you will receive a full refund if you are unable to attend the new date.

Symptoms and risk levels

  • If you develop any coronavirus symptoms, please stay at home, begin to self-isolate right away and arrange to get a test.

  • Please do not attend our event if you are showing any symptoms, test positive, and/or are still within your ten-day isolation period. Let’s all keep each other safe.

  • If you are clinically vulnerable or clinically extremely vulnerable, coronavirus can pose a higher risk. If you are at all concerned about signing up, please take advice from your doctor.

Social distancing

  • 6 feet social distancing rules will apply at all times, including within starting lines where we will have markers as a handy reminder.

  • We will be increasing the size of the event areas so there will be plenty of room for everyone and, as always, using staggered start times throughout the day.

  • Once you have completed the course, you will be asked to follow a one-way route to head out toward the parking areas and vendor areas. You will of course still have access to the rinse station, photo opportunities and restrooms.

Face coverings

  • Everyone attending the event will be asked to bring their own mask/face covering and wear it at all times in the vendor area, race starting areas and within any queues out on the course.

  • You will be able to remove your mask/face covering once you have crossed the start line and will need to pop it back on before you cross the finish line. (Perhaps a Muddy Buddies face gaiter should be on the cards!).

  • You will be advised to bring your own sanitizer and use the sanitizer stations dotted around the event.

  • You will be able to collect your own water out on the course, and your well-deserved medal and rosette at the finish.

  • We will not have towels at the rinse station. Best to bring a towel in the car for you and your dog.

  • You will be advised to rinse your hands at the rinse station after you’ve completed the course and then use the sanitizer provided.

  • Toilets will be cleaned as quickly as possible.

  • Your spectators can join you in the vendor area before you set off and watch you out on the course in marked areas.

  • Please ensure you share this and other relevant information with your spectators before they join you at the event.

Food and drink

  • Our current plans will include food or drink trucks at the events, social distancing guidelines are in place around the food trucks also.

  •  As above, self-service water stations will be out on the route and at the finish to keep you well hydrated!
